Welcome to Biology Active Learner's Help section.

In this first segment, you'll be able to explore ways to use Biology's Active Learner's navigation by reading the text below. You may also click an appropriate topic in the menu to the left for quicker access.

1. Home Button
Click this button to return to the main menu section.

2. Help Button
Click this button to launch the program's help section.

3. Web Resources Button
Click this button to navigate to online Web resources available for the program. You must have an active Internet connection in order to launch the Web resources home screen.

4. Activity Button

This button will enable you to launch an interactive activity associated with a tutorial or simulation. There are six activity types that you'll see in the program. They include: text-based multiple choice, graphics-based multiple choice, animation-based multiple choice, drag and drop, sort order, and categorize text. You'll learn more about these activities in other help sections.

5. Back | Next Links
Use the back or next links to move linearly through subject matter. For example, many tutorials consist of a number of topics. You can navigate linearly from one topic to another by clicking these links.

6. Breadcrumb Trail
This feature will enable you to see where you are in the program. You may be able to link back to a submenu by clicking on a part number that corresponds directly with the parts of your textbook.

7. Screen X of Y
Use this feature to see where you are within the page or screen structure of a tutorial or simulation.
